Try a tutorial or do as I did many years ago; try to model, in some detail, the most mundane object. I remember trying to do an old fashioned tap, you know with those organic drop type X tops rather than a modern one. I forced myself to find a way of modelling it and I discovered many 'hidden' features of TS that way.
Try it, you never know. I am not a bad modeller now and I never really took any courses.
Good luck either way...:D |

ill probabbly break the screen because when ever i actually make myself do something modeling wise if i actually get it looking good or its going well no matter what no matter what pc im on no matter how long ive been doing it, it will crash before i save it lmao |

classic12 what TS version are you using? I don't use Model side of TS (version 7.51) because of crashing problems unless I'm Forced to. I stick 99.999% of my time in workSpace and couldn't be happier. Crashes are rare.
If it wasn't for Boolean, path tools, LightWorks Rendering Engine and the Luvv Plugin you would never see me over there!
If you really want to model easily take a look at Silo2 also. I think there is still a demo to try. |

I can't help with the modeling problem itself, but if you search google images for television you get some different results than from searching for tv. In case your looking for a generic television... |

ya i tried that aswell and still didnt get a regular tv..
Edit: okay i remade the box shorter seemed easier lol i modeled the sides to the shape my one of the tv's in my house but i need to make it so those shapes on the top go down into the back of the tv and make a kind of ">" connection at the back but obviously not as sharp as that.. i dunno if you know what i mean but heres the new sides and top.

I recomends you go inside trueplace Thursday night live event..
I see your modeling method not the best to create a tv.
If you give me permission i can show you another way more simple and efficient to modeling..

I believe this is what you are looking for:
8350
Another tip is to make your polygon edges follow the shapes of the TV so that you get your creases in the right place. The draw edge tool is an easier way to do that. :)

I've noticed that the forum times out if you try to post files larger than a certain size and it takes too long to upload. My zips for the SMC challenge vid I recorded wouldn't upload at 19MB but did ok at 15 MB.
Might depend on how much load the server is under too?
BTW you can get my SMC vid here:

Good luck getting your's uploaded Prodigy :) |

Good start Dude - you're on the way. Just one thing - image size for these forums are a maximum of 800x600 pixels. You should resize your pictures before posting them or they'll get removed for being too big and no-one will be able to see them!
You should also be warned that modelling with trueSpace can get really addictive once you start to get a feel for it! |

Is this a bad time to bring up a "Dream House"
I could use some volunteers...

If you enter now you'll probably win!
I can see Emmanuel and Prodigy not wanting to enter, it's like a Cook coming home to cook. How about all the rest of the users?
So join the fun and give it a try. My house will start this week. |

Glad you find the "tutorial" usesfull..
About your questions..
1) You must go in model. there you can find the boleans..
2) Mmmmm... that sounds like you are using the wrong tools..
You pay for the Vray plugin?? if your answer is yes, you are clicking on the wrong icon.. If no, you are not using Vray..;)
Here is a Simple Screenshot
8374
The Render to File make a Screen Shot but in High Quality and with diferent sizes..
8372
And this is a Vray Render.. Look you get Reflections, GI and many other features... Ouch i've miss an icon on the red selection..hehehe What ever...
