Just so you know this meant "modeling each hair individually by hand in "TRUESPACE"
I reread all my statements and nothing else was implied.
So please correctly quote me in the future. You are jumping to conclusions with many users here instead of asking how it was done first. |

You implied that modeling your mustache was by hand.....everything modeled is pretty much by hand....why make the distinct separation ? Answer: It implies you did something completely different.
Next time, make a WIP like I did and there will be no room for confusion. |

Congratulations Mr. 3D, you have just proved my point. And on several fronts to boot.
When I stated that your reasoning was flawed and indicated that you had no idea of what being part of a community challenge entailed, you completely failed to grasp that fact and simply restated your previous pov. Classic.
Furthermore, despite being informed of your penchant for bold type, which as we all know is the internet equivalent of shouting, you continue to do so, thus again reinforcing my point about your lack of community awareness.
Your naivety then ratchets up a further notch when you then automatically assume I am of lesser years than you with your puerile comment about manners.
Your passionate disregard for acquiring the facts first then continues apace as you then launch public attacks on highly regarded members of this community such as Stenie and Weevil by accusing them of cheating. Only to have your accusations clearly refuted and in Weevil's case, your having to issue an apology. Where again, I may add, you once again proved your total lack of regard for the community by your highly distasteful use of a swear word (SMC Comments Thread – Post 40). Whilst you may well harbour a desire to show the world your complete lack of vocabulary; for future reference, this community has among its population a number of young and teenage girls, some of whom who may find that comment distressing. That all said, one can not fault you on its accuracy.
So, please continue Mr. 3D, your own words say more about you than I ever could. |

No swearing here...that's your view. As far as the bold print, I use it so that it can be seen better (I know nothing about your shouting interpretation)....and I will always continue to use Bold Font (it is my choice of lettering....just like color Font is other's choice).
You're the one that's waving your guns around here Breech Block. As part of the community, I simply aired a point as I saw it in order to possibly bring a little order to a possible future chaos . If you, and others, have to continue to make me look like the bad guy here, then that too could be seen as your character flaw. I admit to being outspoken when it comes to politics.
I'm a big enough guy to admit when my views are wrong. In this case, I believe you are lashing out at me a little too harshly.
Like I said earlier, all of this extra banter could have been avoided, if only some of the guys would have just left it on the Happy Note !:) |

MR. 3D. You have done some excellent work with 3D and I like the style of your images. I suggested earlier that a possible solution for you would be to create a modeling contest that had the rules that you feel should be there. This contest was made by the community and you can certainly make another one of your own.

Well this is deteriorating rapidly, what with hindsight being 20/20 here, looks like this thread hasn't been one of the better ideas this forum's seen, (looks like its not just me having one of those weeks isn't it? :rolleyes:)
A debate like this should work, in theory, until we've covered everything there is and it just degrades into (some of it baseless) conjecture, usually we're good at moderating ourselves and each other without the need of someone with authority to step in (obviously not me, most likely this will be fuel for the fire but lets see, you can only put on enough before it has no effect), so what exactly happened to that? As far as I'm concerned this is ruining Rjeffs' month of running the challenge, just like it happened to mikejoel, now I'm thinking unless we all leave this potential dramapit alone and either start a new one much moremoderated, happy note regardless we're going to be argueing until the cows come home aren't we?
If you've got issues with other members please do so in private or moderate your tone, for the sake of reading enjoyment, and this is regardless of where my opinion lies and how much I thank breech block for his support of my issue in this discussion
Which also means you don't need to reply to this

Funny that this thread is about the Rules and RJeff hasn't posted the Rules yet.
For the benefit of new comers I would suggest that they be posted.
Did I mention that I am scared to begin my WIP under such watchful eyes...
but I'm also embarrassed to undress in front of an Eagles Cheerleader poster...

Agreed, also I suggest folks use Private Messages if they feel like they have a conflict with another person or need clarification. Best to deal with any personal stuff privately first if you can. I know some leeway is always needed for good forum flow so placing in rants and raves. |

It's pretty simple really - as someone already pointed out, the SMC and MMC have different rules and, despite the name, the MMC is NOT just about modelling, and therefore the (restrained) use of other applications is entirely reasonable so long as tS is the primary tool. A bit of post-processing is not unreasonable (and would be an entirely normal expectation even in professional work) so why not?
I think the key points have been made plenty clearly enough. Perhaps a moderator could lock the thread? Please?! |
