Still working on the overall shape/mesh at this stage. Hopefully, in the not too distant future, I'll have something to post in these forums.

Thanks, trebs. Modeling is what makes trueSpace so enjoyable: you are completely immersed in it, sculpting away at your creation, vertex by vertex, moving each point by the smallest of increment, until it is perfect... Never!

I would not even know where to begin. I look at the castle I am doing and it is well crap next to your car. I am in awe...

I just noticed that this same car has been shown for over a year now but no wire frames are ever shown. Is there a reason?

I didn't know it was madatory to show wireframes when you want to display completed work! Heck, I'd better get onto that pronto.... I'll see what I can do.

Every time I see one of your creations it always inspires me to try my hand at a car. Every time I do, I gain an enormous amount of appreciation for the effort you have to go through to achieve this kind of result. Staggering.

While waiting for the wireframe of the latest car, you can view another similar thread here:

Ah, you found out his secret.... he's building this car in a garage, taking photos and just using sharpen filter in photoshop to make it look like a crisp render ;)

Hi folks

At last here's proof that the SRC11 did exist in virtual reality. Here are the images you have all been waiting for. Hopefully, from now on, we will see uncontrolled proliferation of 3D car models in these forums after the revelation of this secret...

I still don't know what the secret is but looking at your mesh I think it is a work of art! I certainly appreciate the post and plan on studying your mesh to improve my own work. Thanks for taking the trouble to show us. The old saying to build a strong building you need a strong foundation applies to your flowing almost perfect and graceful lines.

Awesome! Amazing how "simple" the control mesh is - and I dont mean that as an insult, but a compliment. Everything in its place, nothing extra, nothing wasted, indeed a work of art in its own right.

Thanks for sharing! I too will be looking at this and trying to learn to "use less to get more" as I think I would end up adding way too many lines etc and therefore making a mess of whatever I was working on!

Thanks!

Tom

Indeed! High quality mesh edited with polygons use at the minimum in making it.

Truly an amazing feat and an economical use of vertices and edges. :)

great art and thanks for sharing!

Woa! I was expecting the controlpoly to be more dense than what you have in the subdivided image, but being able to create this kind of efficient cage.... I'm amazed!

Excellent work, and thanks for sharing ! :D
